This album by Lisa Biales is excellent, bluesy, rocky, torchy. It is produced by E.G. Kight, and she also wrote several of the songs. So if you like E.G. you will like this cd too. The previous review is good, but I can't believe they did not mention the song that is by far the best song on the cd, "When You Were Mine." Not only is it the best song on the cd, it is absolutely the prettiest song I have ever heard. Ever. In my life I have heard a few "perfect" songs, songs that have no flaws. "Yesterday" is one of those songs. "Desperado" is one. "When You Were Mine" is also one. It is perfectly written, perfectly sung; the arrangement is perfect, the accompaniment is perfect. And the vocal performance by Lisa is amazing. I have not heard a voice like this since Mama Cass and Linda Ronstadt.
Through the Eyes of a Child" is almost as good a song. Turn down the lights, put on the headphones, and listen to those two songs. You will be stunned. I have listened to them over and over again, and just cannot get over how good they are. Congratulations to Lisa Biales on a great triumph.
